--- al-Tahdhir min al-Tawarid 'ala Qawl duwn al-Ruju' ila Masadirihi.
In this epistle the Shaykh talks about quaoting or relying upon statements of the scholars that are either read or heard that are not verified by you to their original sources. He warns about this and provides cases wherein researchers and students cause misunderstanding by simply not verifying their sources!

---Kalimat al-Tawaqi min al-Tahrif.
In this epistle the Shaykh warns about the consequences of Tahrif, or misspelling, miswriting words, letters or dots of popular and or easily mixed names/statements. He provides popular and not so popular cases of misspelled transmitters or scholars. This causes allot of problems to many hadith researchers and students who do not research in depth.

The eminent Islāmic-scholar Shaykh Muhammad Ibn Muhammad 'Awwāmah (hafizahullah) was born on the 1st of January 1940 in Aleppo.

Before he commenced his studies in the year 1953, he used to attend the lessons of Shaykh Muhammād al-Salqīni. From the very beginning he was the student of Shaykh 'Abdullah Sirāj al-Dīn (rahmatullahi 'alayh). In the year 1378 A.H. (1957) he became the student of Shaykh 'Abd al-Fattāh Abū Ghuddah (rahmatullahi 'alayh). He was eventually considered as the most preferred and exceptional student of both these great personalities.

He enrolled in the Islāmic Shariʿah faculty in the year 1382 A.H. (1961). In the same year, he was appointed as a teacher and librarian at Madrasah Shaʾbāniyyah, which was the institute of his Shaykh and teacher, Shaykh 'Abdullah Sirāj al-Dīn (rahmatullahi 'alayh). There he taught numerous subjects until 1400 A.H. (1979/80) when he left Syria.
